How you can help

The site relies on the goodwill of people like yourself to make it a success. If you have transcribed probate inventories, then I would like to hear from you. The site is intended to house collections of transcribed probate inventories for the use of historians. Researchers in this field are looking for probate inventories covering various periods and geographical areas; and most of them want a number of them, rather than single ones. I have put some on this site that I have transcribed. This is intended to start the ball rolling, not to impose a house-style for future contributors. What do you do now? Please contact my son by email (david_emms@hotmail.com) and send the inventories as an attachment. These will then be uploaded onto the web site. Please supply a title for your collection, so that visitors can easily see what period and geographical area they relate to. Finally, put the name of the person/group who transcribed them. Thanks for your help!
